The handheld unit works remotely up to 100 feet away and has a nice rubberized grip for comfort and control. The particular construction of your house and other wireless devices have the potential to cause some interference, so take care to check the screen and ensure it is receiving a signal. No need to worry about finding a plug near the grill: with just four AA Batteries (non incluso), this grill thermometer will work for many hours of helpful monitoring.
